About the Professional Practice Academy (PPA)
As you may be aware, over the past 18 months, the PPA has been working with industry to build an online ‘place to go’, community of practice for our sector. Integral to that task has been identifying the recruitment and workforce needs for the community services sector, and bench-marking best practice, as we move into the new world of NDIS. The launch marks a celebration of much of that work, and will include the unveiling of our website and online community of practice, http://www.profpracc.com.
The launch also marks the release of the first of a series of industry informed workforce development tools. First and foremost is our Mental Health Support Worker Attributional Tool, built in collaboration with Charles Sturt University. The tool captures 9 attributes, all drawn from the analysis of research with mental health support workers of excellence, working in the pilot sites of NDIS, and their managers. We have also linked the attributional tool with an internationally accredited certification scheme. All of these products are world firsts.
As an industry leader, we hope that you will be available to attend this event, and celebrate with us, the launch of the Professional Practice Academy.
Looking forward to seeing you on the day.
